"The Sea, Mendeho, and Moonlight" in 2001, a magazine that was the Indian equivalent of Omni. [Note: "A Heart for Lucretia" was also accepted by 2001, but the author never received a contributor copy and so cannot confirm publication.]

Fun Fact :
- Jeff's mum has a Master's Degree in Indian folk art
- As a kid, Jeff once visited India for a month, a week of it spent huddling in New Delhi at the YMCA, waiting for emergency money to arrive from the Peace Corps...
- Shortly thereafter, Jeff was permanently traumatized by a monkey at the Calcutta zoo that grabbed his arm and tried to bite him
