Member FLEC groups include Frente Democratia de Cabinda (FDC), Frente de Libertacao do Enclave de Cabinda-Forcas Armadas Cabindesas (FLEC-FAC), and Frente de Libertacao do Enclave de Cabinda-Renovada (FLEC-R). These guerrillas have been fighting to free the province of Cabinda since 1963. Other guerrilla groups include the ever popular Movimento Amplo para a Democracia (MAD), Movimento Popular de Libertacao de Angola (MPLA), Movimento de Unidade Democratica para a Reconstruco (MUDAR), Uniao Nacional para a Independencia Total de Angola (UNITA), the UNITA splinter group UNITA Renovada, and, finally, the newly-created (today, in fact—over breakfast) Eliminate All Guerrilla Groupos Groupo (EAGGG!)...Of the five foreign visitors to Angola in 1999, all were promptly distributed as hostages amongst the various guerrilla groups.
