The Alien Baby Visits Brian Stableford The alien baby decided to visit Brian and Jane Stableford at their house in Reading, England. Brian and Jane were nice enough to show the alien baby around a little. In return, the alien baby even took some photos for Brian. Brian explains the photographs: "Apart from various shots of me with the alien baby, there are also: some shots of me preparing to go out to bat in the last cricket match ever played by the Old Suttonians, who have finally conceded defeat in the war against old age (I was caught at slip for five, but had earlier turned in a creditable performance opening the bowling, taking three wickets for twenty-odd runs in ten overs); some shots of me in company with my daughter Kate; ditto with my old friend Bill Russell; ditto with Bill plus Edward James and Farah Mendlesohn; ditto with another old friend, Steve Sheppard, and his wife (these taken at Christchurch Harbour in Dorset - the black building in the background of same is the Old Customs House, but I couldn't find any scarlet letters)."
